Commissioned by Rememory Archives and created by interdisciplinary artist Learenna Reynolds, Smile, Mahogany, Smile. is a striking 11x14 collage print honoring the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1975 film Mahogany.
The title references the way those around Tracey Chambers (nicknamed “Mahogany” in the modeling world) urge her to “Smile, Mahogany, smile”—oblivious to her inner reality.
